What do you have in a two-stall?We offer all of our barn designs in a two-stall configuration. A product consultant would happily go through the design process with you.
-
What do I need to provide for unloading the kit?Be sure you have adequate space to set the bundles flat without twisting. You will also need a 5,000-lb forklift suitable for the terrain where you are unloading.
-
Do you have two stalls with a feed room?Yes, any of our barns can be designed to meet a two-stall with a feed room.
-
How do your barns compare to other metal barns in the marketplace? What are some differences? Our barns are superior in design and strength. They have a 3″ x 2″ 12 Gauge wall base channel instead of the industry standard 2″ x 2″ 14 Gauge. Our anchors are spaced at 4′ instead of the industry standard of 8′ and 12′. Unlike the light gauge C channel frames, which have the wall panels floating in them, our bolt-together design uses stronger wall connectors, with all panels securely bolted in place. Each 4′ panel is interchangeable, making repairs and modifications easy.
-
Where are you located? Our manufacturing is in Cleburne, TX, but we serve customers nationwide.
-
Do you have smaller ones for two horses? We start with the Run-in shed style and Malibu, which are the two most economical. Because neither has a porch, these would have the smallest footprint.
-
Do you do discounts for a business? We sell all of our products at our best factory direct pricing.
-
Do they have to be on concrete?Yes, there are two choices: concrete piers at 4’ spacing or the standard concrete ribbon footing under all walls.
-
What's the wind rating #3, and must they be anchored down?Yes, our barns are designed for high wind loads and must be anchored to meet these requirements.
-
Which state do you serve? All 50 of the United States of America.
-
Is installation included? No, installation is not included. We provide a complete kit shipped to your site, detailed documentation, and an installation manual with pictures for your installer or subcontractor. Our panelized steel horse barns require no on-site welding, making the installation straightforward.
-
What is your wind rating? Our standard barns are engineered for 90 MPH winds, with options to upgrade to a 150 MPH rating.
-
Is there a cost for me to go through the barn design process? No, one of our product consultants would be happy to take you through the process and design a barn that meets your needs, wants, and dreams!
-
What does the $1,000 deposit get me?When the initial design process is complete, a $1,000 deposit secures your spot in the queue to have the architectural plan set completed, a position in the manufacturing schedule, and a delivery date.
-
What is your lead time?It takes about 9 weeks from the time you place your $1,000 deposit until your kit is shipped. Additional time for engineering, permitting, and other requirements can extend the lead time by 4+ weeks.
-
Can I pick up my order?Yes, you can pick up your order if you have the proper DOT-approved equipment. However, most customers prefer us to handle shipping to avoid liability.
-
Do you sell parts for my existing barn repairs or modifications?Yes, we sell parts for Ulrich Horse Barns and Ring-O-Steel Barn brands. Contact us for a parts quote. Unfortunately, our parts are not compatible with other brands.
-
How long have you been designing and manufacturing horse barns? For 52+ years. Founded in 1972, we are the original innovator in the panelized steel horse barns. The original brand name was Ring-O-Steel Barns, and in 2020, we rebranded to Ulrich Horse Barns LLC when we began serving customers nationwide.
-
What is the best number to call? You are welcome to contact a product consultant at 817-506-4489 or at 877-854-BARN (2276).
-
What tools do I need for installation? You will need a cordless drill, a concrete hammer drill, and hand tools. In addition, the center aisle barn will require a lift for the center-end gables.
-
How can I reserve my spot for an order?Place a $1,000 deposit and sign the order contract.
-
What is your snow load? Can I install a solar panel on the roof? Our standard snow load is rated for 30+ lbs per square foot. We can engineer designs for additional loads of 100+ lbs per square foot, including solar panels.
